Oré Art's Installation
Normandy based street/graffiti artist Oré recently had his work displayed at Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard. As part of a city wide tour the he has literally ‘painting the town of our utopias a thousand colours and a specially created mural appeared on the side of a freight container.
Oré spent 10 years being involved with self-described ‘graffiti activism’ after discovering the medium during trips to Mexico. Although he still paints informally on the streets his work has now gained a wider appeal and the artist exhibits all across Europe. He also delivers workshops and passes on his passion for street art to others also interested.
While in Portsmouth Oré created a number of mural also had works displayed in the Kings Theatre and in prominent places around Portsmouth – all with permission granted we might add.
